Bank Holiday stay

We had a lovely long weekend in the Jinnyspinner Lodge and would absolutely love to return in the future. The location was perfect with walks available in the local area with a lovely pub. It was a lovely setting by the river Plenty of space for 6 people and a dog. The lodge was clean but there was a smell of dog when we arrived. If you don't have a dog you may be put off by this. We could have done with a couple more toilet rolls with there been 6 of staying. We think it would look great we some more lights outside for the evening as we were struggling to see with the one light. Apart from that it was lovely and cosy and would love to return in the future.

Never disappointed

Once again our stay at Jinnyspinner was all we expected. A wonderful lodge in the best position on Limefitt. And what made ot better still was the excellent weather.

Cleaning standards poor but lovely area

I love staying at Jinnyspinner as the location is beautiful but unfortunately with the last 4 years showing poor cleanliness, we will no longer return. Items such as tables and the fridge were dirty at our recent visit. The shower cubicle had dirty grime and one plug socket was hanging off the wall. Just to name a few areas of concern. Photos offered as proof to company but not wanted.

Thank you for your review Emma. We are sorry a couple of things weren't quite right for your stay although you only reported these as you left. These were acknowledged immediately and as we monitor all cleanliness issues (including trends where things may get missed) very closely the cleaning contractor will be informed accordingly. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are sorry you will not be visiting Jinnyspinner Lodge again. That is a shame as it is a very popular, traditional lodge which enjoys a lovely private and peaceful location right by the river.

A quiet retreat

This is an excellent lodge in a great location. it was surrounded by different wildlife all day long. the only fault was the double glazed kitchen window which was badly stained inside the glass. this blocked the view out which was annoying.

May holiday break.

Had a lovely few days here in May. The lodge was in an excellent position by the river and was enclosed and fairly private. The whole park was very dog friendly. Lodge well equipped. Lovely food at pub.

Weekend break with dogs

Had another lovely break at Limedfitt park even though a few issues with Jinny Spinner. We're stayed in this lodge a number of times over the last few years and always enjoyed our stays, but we have noticed that the last two times we have been disappointed with certain things i.e bed linen in double room past its best, one of the pillowcases badly ripped, also no pillows protectors, mattress protector does not fit the bed and also ripped. In the kitchen the tea towel provided was badly stained on arrival. The reason why we still book for this lodge as we have for September 2019 is largely down to the location otherwise we would probably try one of the other lodges in the park.

Thank you for the review, Paul and bringing a few things to our attention. Although pleased you had another lovely break and thank you for letting us know, we are sorry to hear of the issues encountered. Please be assured that we have followed up on your comments and furthermore, we will make sure that the issues are dealt with. These should not have happened and we are very sorry. We are delighted that you have booked to return and we are sure that the lodge will, once again, be to your satisfaction. This is a cosy three-bedroom lodge with a riverside setting. A wonderful place to stay and we look forward to you returning in September.

Jinnyspinner Lodge

Another stay at Jinnyspinner, superb location next to the river. Even though we have booked again for March 2019, the lodge could do with a little updating, especially the bedding in the main bedroom.

Review date: 09th October 2018

Thank you for your comments, Paul and we take on board all you have said. We will check the bedding and if necessary we will replace - thank you for letting us know. Jinnyspinner is traditional log cabin overlooking the river. A stunning location and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and delighted you have booked to return next year.
