We had a great stay at Pheasants Nest, we were a little apprehensive with everything that’s going on but the lodge was absolutely spotless. The layout is brilliant and is very spacious. It’s modern and the views are beautiful. We’ve stayed at Limefitt many times but this has by far been our favourite lodge. The only slight niggle was that the en suite shower flooded the en suite bathroom, it had been leaking for some time by the look of it but mustn’t have been reported. We also didn’t have hot water at one point and when we spoke to the Lake District Lodge Holidays we were told it was because the hot tubs on the site were being refilled and that it’s be on later that day - not ideal when you can’t go the toilet, have a drink or shower. So we spoke to the Limefitt reception who said that wasn’t the case at all and they spoke LDLH direct and we then had someone out within half an hour and the water was sorted. These were minor problems that didn’t dampen our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back, the lodge is well looked after, clean, comfortable and a credit to the owner.

Thank you for the review, Jackie. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay although noting you had a couple of issues, we are sorry. Having checked the shower on your departure, the leak was caused by a blocked drain which of course has now been rectified. We are not sure why you had no hot water at one point. The infrastructure and services on the park are the responsibility of Parkdean Resorts and we were pleased to hear it was promptly addressed. As we have no record of a call regarding this issue, should you wish to contact us, we'd be happy to discuss this further and to clarify a few things. Thank you for raising these matters with us and also for letting us know you had a great stay. Pheasants Nest is a beautifully presented two-bedroom lodge, a wonderful place to stay and we are so pleased you thought so too. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Beautiful lodge already booked return for April, settee was broken with temp fix but we had note explaining Was to be replaced shortly and long white dog hairs on carpet and bottom of sofa which I’ve passed on info to lodges team and have said will he cleaned. Other than that the lodge is in perfect spot on park and is very good condition would definitely recommend.

Many thanks for your review Lyndsey. We were sorry to hear there was some evidence of a previous doggie guest in the lodge and apologise for any inconvenience this caused. The cleanliness standards are usually very high at this lodge and we have passed on your comments to the cleaner. the good news is that the damaged sofa is due to be replaced imminently and this will return the lodge to it's very high standard. Pheasant's Nest is a very popular and spacious lodge with lovely views.

For a big family celebration, we hired 4 lodges; ours was Pheasants’ Nest. We were delighted with the location, the space in the lodge and its superior standard. It was a perfect way to meet up as an extended family in these strange times. The Mortal Man serves excellent food and is close by. We had little ones who loved the walls at Pooley Bridge and at Glenridding, both just a short car ride away. We will be returning next year!
