We are no longer accepting bookings for holidays arriving before 4th June 2020 and no travel to holiday accommodation is allowed
Lake District Lodge Holidays began in 2010 after my wife Paula & I decided to rent out our own holiday lodge at Limefitt Park. We quickly discovered that when we weren’t using the lodge ourselves it was fully booked all year round!
From that humble beginning we now arrange stays at over 130 lodges at 8 fabulous locations around Cumbria & The Lakes. This makes us the largest specialist holiday lodge rental agency based in the Region. Our core values remain true to this day and we now have a great team of local people working with us who also share the same passion.
We know you will enjoy the Lake District come rain or shine and whatever time of year you visit. You will not be disappointed as there is something for everybody and so much to see and do. In fact once you have visited the Lakes you may simply fall in love with what you see and keep coming back year after year. It really is a special place!
I first fell in love with the Lake District when my husband Mark and I had our very first holiday together in Ambleside in 1991. Little did we know that we would one day be lucky enough to live and work in this beautiful part of the UK. I get great satisfaction in knowing we help people every day to enjoy such a spectacular place.
Outside of work, I love spending time with our Springer Spaniel and walking in the Langdales where I get to see my favourite Lake District residents – the wonderful Herdwick Sheep!
I am a Kentish Maid relocated to the beautiful Lake District with my family in 1999.
I joined the LDLH team in May 2015 as a Bookings Co-ordinator with knowledge of the surrounding area, local holiday parks and attractions. My role within the team has developed over the years and while supporting our fantastic team, I also carryout booking administration and owners relations.
I also love nothing more than chatting with our guests and helping them with their booking enquiries. Hearing the excitement in someone’s voice, when I’ve helped them find their perfect lodge holiday is very rewarding.
On a day off together, my husband and I like treating ourselves to lunch at our favourite pub the Watermill Inn at Ings.
My top tip would be: “Making sure you pack for all weathers and bring a pair of comfy shoes”.
I joined the team in April 2016. My role is to ensure you have a great holiday through LDLH. I deal with queries relating to your stay, although I love hearing when we have surpassed your expectations.
Having been born in Kendal – the nearest maternity unit – I am technically a Kendalian rather than a Bowness-on-Windermere person but I can cope with that!! It does mean I know a bit about the best places to go.
Naturally it’s the rain I like most about living up here although I do not object to those glorious sunny days we so often get when it isn’t raining. The secret is to go inside when it is raining and up the fells when it isn’t!
I am a Lake District Local having been born and raised in Windermere. My role with Lake District Lodge Holidays is Maintenance Manager and I look after the upkeep of our lodges to make sure everything is fully functional for your stay.
The Lake District is perfect on a hot sunny day! Strolling down to the Lakeshore and back home often popping in to one of our many pubs for cold refreshment is hard to beat.
My top tip for your holiday would be to visit the Belsfield Hotel, Bowness for an afternoon cream tea and sit in the gardens overlooking the Lake. Well worth the money!
‘Born & bred’ here; I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I love the community spirit we have and I know I’m very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I take great pleasure in planning my own family getaways so feel very privileged knowing I play a part in the process for visitors to our lovely Lake District.
When I’m not in the office, my husband and 3 children keep me busy and I like nothing more than a walk with our spaniel, Lola, whatever the weather!
My advice to anyone visiting the area would be to try to return in each of the seasons, as they’re so different. My favourite is autumn for all the colours…or maybe winter for the snow on the tops…but then again I do love the spring.
I was born in Ambleside and have lived there for most of my life. I have two grown up children and three grandchildren. I joined the Lake District Lodge Holidays team in 2018. My role is to ensure that your lodge is cleaned and looking its best ready for your arrival.
In my spare time I like nothing better than to get out in the fresh air for a walk with my dog. My favourite is Loughrigg. I never tire of the views from Todd Cragg.
My advice to anyone visiting the area is to just get out and enjoy it, there is something for everyone.
The lakes has always been a very special place to me having visited through most of my childhood. My family relocated here in 2011 and I settled here once I completed my university degree in 2014.
I joined the team in November 2018 with my extensive knowledge of the area and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My role involves arranging bookings from enquiries through to departure and supporting our lodge owners with any queries or questions they have. I also assist Fiona with any after-stay feedback. Knowing you have helped someone find their perfect lodge so they can create the memories that will last them forever, there is nothing better!
On my days off I’m normally busy with my young family and my ever-growing cat family! We often venture out and make the most of living in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
The one place I would recommend visiting is Brockhole-on-Windermere, there is something for every member of the family and it is perfect come rain or sunshine and we get a lot of rain. My top tip – always bring wellies and an umbrella!
A local Windermere lass who is very handy with a screwdriver! I joined the team in 2019 and I have a good knowledge of maintenance services. I ensure the lodges are fully functional for our guests arrival, while supporting Chris.
On my days off I love spending time looking after my young family and dog, while being the wonder woman that I am with a feather duster and ensuring my woman’s cave is well stocked.
My top tip would be: “Turn the TV off and go out and explore the wonderful area. However, be prepared for all weathers”.
