Electreks is a local family business, based at the farm, offering 6 Kross bikes – 3 large, 3 medium for hire. (Please note the minimum age to ride an e-bike is 14)
The KROSS brand is Poland’s largest cycling brand, evolving within 20 years from a small bicycle shop into a leading manufacturer of bicycles in Europe. KROSS invested and developed and began to compete technologically and visually with the world competition. The bikes have Shimano components, hydraulic disc brakes and a Shimano Steps 8000 motor.
Prices for Lake District Lodge Holiday guests are a special £30 a day, £20 half day from High Borrans; and £35 a day, £25 half day from our other Windermere locations.
Electric bikes have really taken off in the past 2 years – the Europeans are way ahead of us and use them as much as your ‘normal’ bike. You still have to pedal, but you can use the boost to help you up the hills. These Kross bikes are fantastic for helping you up those hills, so you can really enjoy coming down the other side!
