The property

Fir Tree Lodge is a charming two-bedroom holiday lodge tucked away in a woodland setting at White Cross Bay, featuring private gated decking and a bubbling hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Sleeping up to four guests, with space for an infant in a travel cot, it provides an excellent base for discovering the Lake District National Park. After adventures amongst the fells and lakes, return to soak in the hot tub or sit back on the decking and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Inside, the spacious open-plan living area offers plenty of room to relax together, whether you're watching television, preparing meals in the kitchen, or sharing stories from the day's excursions.

Occupying a sought-after position on the shores of Lake Windermere, White Cross Bay enjoys magnificent views across the water and surrounding countryside, complete with a marina and lakeside jetties.

Within the park itself, guests can make use of a bar, restaurant with dog-friendly outdoor seating, picnic area, and children's play area.

Just half a mile away, Brockhole on Windermere Visitor Centre offers an array of attractions, including landscaped gardens, a historic house, café, restaurant, lakeside activities, adventure playground, and the popular Treetop Trek experience.

The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere.
