Feather Hill Lodge is an appealing holiday lodge situated in the heart of Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria.

Well-suited to families or groups of friends, this thoughtfully appointed property provides a comfortable base for exploring the Lake District’s lakes, fells, and lively villages.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, wine cooler, and toaster—making it easy to prepare anything from a hearty breakfast to an evening meal. The dining area offers a pleasant space for shared meals, while the sitting area, featuring an electric fire and Smart TV, is ideal for unwinding after a day out.

The lodge has two bedrooms: a king-size room with TV and en-suite walk-in shower, basin, and WC, and a twin room, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for up to four guests.

There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC, adding convenience for families or groups. Central heating ensures the lodge remains comfortable throughout the year, and WiFi is available for guests’ use.

Outside, there is an enclosed decking area with outdoor furniture—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink in the fresh Cumbrian air.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and a travel cot can be supplied for those travelling with young children.

White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Consisting of many lodges, it offers a restaurant, pub, shop, entertainment room, amusement arcade, indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, children's staffed activity centre, marina and outdoor play areas. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere. Explore Brockhole Visitor Centre with tree-top adventures and childrens play park which is close by - boats to Ambleside and Bowness call in here along with some Lake Cruises in season. There are also some charming walks and bridleways to explore directly from here up into the beautiful Troutbeck Valley and across to Wansfell, as well as the gardens at Holehird, which are run entirely by volunteers and are an enchanting and inspiring place to explore.
