    “The lodge is in a lovely position on the site, tucked away, very quiet and nearby a wooded area so you can watch squirrels, deer and birds from the windows.”

    First impressions of the lodge itself weren’t amazing, for the price we’d expected something a little less worn/dated and a little bit cleaner (something sticky on the light switch in the hall, something on the en suite door handle, doggy smelling dusty rug, cracked shower head in en suite that sprays upwards). However, the beds seemed clean and comfortable and the lodge had everything we needed including a few extras that are always helpful (iron and board, dishwasher etc). The WiFi is ...

However, the beds seemed clean and comfortable and the lodge had everything we needed including a few extras that are always helpful (iron and board, dishwasher etc). The WiFi is really good and we were able to stream with minimal buffering. We had an issue with the smoke alarm in the living room area beeping, I believe this has been commented on before by another guest. I think it may be time for a new one as the battery in it said 2015 on it and the alarm itself looked very old (yellowed plastic). The owner was lovely when we texted her about it and got the site staff to come fix it. Though the problem persisted and not wanting our holiday disturbed further we took it down (there were several other alarms around the lodge luckily). We did have a lovely, relaxing break and the lodge was nice enough, just not quite as nice as the pictures or price suggested.

Located in the highest part Fellside area of Limefitt Park, the lodge enjoys some of the best views on the park from its spacious deck and elevated position.

The lodge is not overlooked and privately located.

Inside, the living area is bright, airy and furnished for relaxation. With 3 bedrooms, it's a great choice for family and friends to gather, relax, rest and simply enjoy spending time together.

Gazing down the Troutbeck Valley with country pubs nearby, and only a short drive to both Ambleside and Windermere, the lodge offers guests a beautiful lodge in a truly magical location. The lodge welcomes 2 dogs. WINDERMERE

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.



Ambleside Lodge is accessed by 5 wooden steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.

A travel cot and highchair are provided for you. The travel cot will fit in the master bedroom only.

Park Rules and Operations – Limefitt

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
