89 Ambleside is a bright, single-storey wooden lodge situated in Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria, within the stunning Lake District National Park.

Well-positioned between the popular destinations of Windermere and Ambleside, this welcoming retreat is ideal for families, friends, or couples looking to explore one of England’s most celebrated landscapes. The heart of the lodge is the open-plan living space, offering a sociable setting to relax and spend time together after a day of adventures.

Settle into the sitting area beside the electric fire and enjoy your favourite films on the Smart TV, or gather around the dining area to plan the next day's excursions.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and slimline dishwasher, providing everything needed for a self-catered stay.

When sleep calls, choose from two inviting bedrooms comprising a double and a twin, each offering a pleasant space to recharge before another day in the Lakes.

The contemporary shower room features a walk-in shower, basin and WC, ideal for freshening up after countryside walks or lakeside activities.

White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Consisting of many lodges, it offers a restaurant, pub, shop, entertainment room, amusement arcade, indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, children's staffed activity centre, marina and outdoor play areas. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. Children will also enjoy The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, where technology brings her characters to life, and Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its Treetop Trek aerial adventure is a short walk away from the site. TROUTBECK BRIDGE

Windermere 2 miles; Ambleside 4 miles.

The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere. Explore Brockhole Visitor Centre with tree-top adventures and childrens play park which is close by - boats to Ambleside and Bowness call in here along with some Lake Cruises in season. There are also some charming walks and bridleways to explore directly from here up into the beautiful Troutbeck Valley and across to Wansfell, as well as the gardens at Holehird, which are run entirely by volunteers and are an enchanting and inspiring place to explore. The bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are close by, providing a range of amenities including shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park, whilst children will enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
