The property

Jodene Lodge, Redwood 2 is a thoughtfully arranged single-storey lodge set in Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, enjoying lake views and off-road parking for two cars, suited to a small group and a four-legged companion.

From the moment you step inside, the open-plan living space invites easy together-time, with the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area flowing in one sociable sweep.

After fresh air and big skies, settle near the electric fire and put the kettle on while you decide what tomorrow looks like.

The kitchen makes self-catering simple, with a gas hob, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer ready for everything from packed lunches to home-cooked dinners, and a dishwasher to keep the end-of-day jobs minimal.

A separate utility area adds extra practicality without stealing space from the main room.

With WiFi and a TV, you can keep things low-key in the evenings, whether that’s a quiet programme, a chat over dessert, or planning the next outing.

Two bedrooms, each with a TV, offer flexible sleeping for families or friends.

The double bedroom benefits from an en-suite walk-in shower, ideal when you want to start the day at your own pace, while the twin bedroom is a handy option for children or additional guests.

There’s also a bathroom with a bath and shower over, giving you the choice between a quick refresh or a long soak after a full day out.

Outside, the decking provides a simple place to sit back with a drink and take in the lake outlook as the day unfolds.

Local amenities are close enough to make stocking up and meal plans easy.

When you’re ready for days out, take a trip to Ambleside for time by the water and a visit to Brockhole on Windermere, then explore Kendal with Kendal Castle and the Brewery Arts Centre.

Round things off in Grasmere with Dove Cottage and a walk beside Rydal Water.

For a Lake District stay with a great setting, choose Jodene Lodge, Redwood 2.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.
