Stays can be arranged at Fallbarrow Park and High Borrans all year round (except Hazel, Dene and the Shepherd’s Hut at High Borrans where stays are between March 15th and November 15th).
White Cross Bay and Limefitt Park close on the 3rd January 2020. Selected lodges will be available to book from the 7th February 2020, however, please note onsite facilities will not open until the 14th February.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price of your stay. There will be one hand towel and bath towel per person. Guests staying in a lodge with a hot tub or who are planning to use the leisure facilities, should bring their own beach/swimming towels.
A fully equipped kitchen is provided for self-catering. A toilet roll (per toilet), hand soap (per sink – either hand pump or sealed hotel style packet) oven glove, washing up cloth, scourer and washing up liquid (and dishwasher tablets if applicable) are provided to get you started. These may not be sufficient for the duration of your stay and therefore we suggest you bring all the necessary provisions for your stay. Alternatively, there are plenty of shops around where you should find what you need.
No – the lodge is self catering. There is a Booths Supermarket, Co-op and Sainsburys Local in Windermere, Tesco Express and Co-op in Bowness as well as a Spar at the petrol station in nearby Troutbeck Bridge.
For the larger supermarkets, head to Kendal where you will find Morrisons, Sainsburys and Aldi in the north of the town and ASDA in the south.
A slab or base is provided for a BBQ but please bring your own disposable BBQ.
Yes – Asda and Tesco deliver to the parks. However, you will need to arrange to meet them at reception and escort them to your lodge.
Yes but only dogs at those lodges which will accept them. Most lodges accept a maximum of 2 dogs at (usually) a £10 supplement per dog per stay where stated. No other pets will be accepted.
As per our T&Cs all dogs must be over the age of 6 months and fully house trained. Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended under any circumstances. Park rules at Limefitt, Fallbarrow and White Cross Bay, plus High Borrans Lodges, strictly forbid this.
Similarly dogs are not allowed to sit or sleep on any furniture or beds. Please clean up after your dog when walking around the park and if they use the deck areas.
The Haybarn Inn at Limefitt Park and the clubhouse at Fallbarrow and White Cross Bay both allow well behaved dogs inside. Please note there is a small designated area at White Cross Bay. a small area within the
High Borrans – Please be aware that High Borrans is a working livestock farm. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when walking through or near livestock. They must not be allowed to roam unsupervised.
Limefitt Park is set in the Troutbeck Valley some 3 miles from Windermere.
White Cross Bay is on the shores of Lake Windermere equidistant from Windermere and Ambleside.
Fallbarrow is on the shores of Lake Windermere in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere.
High Borrans Lodges are at High Borrans Farm between Ings village and Troutbeck.
All lodges are self entry and we will provide a code to the key safe so you can let yourself in on arrival. For lodges at Fallbarrow keys are collected from the main reception. For lodges at High Borrans the lodge is left unlocked for your arrival with the key inside.
All gas and electricity is included in your price (see above).
