Stayed with my husband. Our daughter and her partner and the dog. Parking for 2 cars. Hard to find lodge on arrival . More sign post would be better. Beautiful lodge had everything you needed .lovely and warm . Shower very good. Weather was good . A few minutes from lodge down hill to the lake and about a 10 minute walk into Bowness-on-Windermere We will definitely stay here again . Thank you

Thank you for the great comments and ratings, Gaynor. This family friendly holiday lodge is a super place to stay and we are delighted you thought so too. Noting your suggestion for more signposts, we shall pass this on the park management - thank you. Neildan is indeed a beautiful lodge and we look forward to you staying here again soon.

Stayed here in late Feb whilst the wind, snow and rain was here. The lodge could do with turning round as we had constant noise on the roof from the rain from the trees. This got worse with the snow building up in the branches and then thudding on the roof. Hardly had any sleep for the 3 nights that we were there. If there was no rain or snow then it would have been fine so bear this in mind when booking.

Thank you for your review. We were sorry to hear your stay was affected by the weather. Your comments that 'the lodge could do with turning round' are perhaps the most bizarre thing any guest ever has said when staying at this lodge! Similarly your ratings are very much at odds with others and probably reflect the fact that there was poor weather during your stay. The owner stays regularly at the lodge and it is well looked after. It is very popular with guests offering a spacious and comfortable place to stay close to the lake.

OK lodge, but could do with updating, decorating etc. The park is a fantastic location for centre of bowness. The lodge location isn't great for views as just looks onto another lodge but didn't matter to us as it was none stop rain so didn't do any sitting outside.

Thank you for your comments, Anna. Despite a couple of niggles, we do hope you enjoyed your stay at Neildan Lodge and the birthday celebrations. We shall certainly pass on all you have said to the owners who are keen to make sure guests enjoy their lodge as much as they do. Thank you for letting us know of your lodge experience. On a more positive note we are pleased you enjoyed the fantastic location of the park.
