Meathop near Grange-over-Sands is renowned for its clean fresh air, quiet lanes and the Moss nearby is home to many species of butterflies, birds and deer.

Woodlands Lodges at Meathop are in this quiet and peaceful location, on the back road which leads to Grange Golf Club and then into Grange itself. You could cycle into Grange in 15 minutes, or make it an afternoon stroll. The famous Hazlemere cafe has over 80 teas and coffees and prides itself on local food and home baking.

Our lodge holiday resort in Grange brings back the Great British seaside holiday, with ice creams & cafes on the car-free promenade – ideal for cracking riding your bike without stabilisers or for a walk with baby in the buggy.

Over the summer months, the pretty promenade flowerbeds and gardens are a riot of colour and the Ornamental Gardens are a peaceful place to feed to ducks and have a picnic.  The views out to the magnificent Morecambe Bay are inspiring and full of bird life.

Why did Grange became Grange-over-Sands?  Well, the story goes that a local vicars post kept getting delivered to the Grange near Keswick.

The lodges here are all based around the Woodlands Hotel, where you can enjoy food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere.

The charming seaside town of Grange-over-Sands with its promenade, historic lido, shops and cafes is just a short distance away.
