  • “Overall we had a really great time in the Lake District.”

The accommodation was great - just a few points which could improve our experience are 1. There is a wasp nest in the roof at the back of the lodge. 2. Would have liked a washing machine (especially in a COVID situation.) I know you have a launderette, but this isn’t suitable. 3. The bedside lights were dirty and one didn’t work.

    - Mrs Burrows, July 2021

Thank you for the review, Mrs Burrows. Whilst delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay we note and will address the issues you have raised accordingly. We were not aware of a wasps nest although we shall make sure this is dealt with promptly. Thank you for letting us know. Sadly the lodge has no room for a washing machine although we do have other lodges that do, please check our website for more information. We shall pass on your cleaning comments to the cleaning company responsible and shall also advise our maintenance team to check the bedside light. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. On a more positive note we are so pleased to hear that you had a great time in the Lake District and enjoyed staying at Windermere Retreat. This two bedroom holiday lodge with hot tub is a super place to stay and we hope to welcome you again soon. Owner relations
