Limefitt Park is in a great location close to lake Windermere, and has good road links to other popular beauty spots. The lodge itself has a stunning outlook with views across the valley. We didn't use the huge terrace much because of the season, but it would be an ideal outdoor space in the summer. The lodge was in good condition and well equipped, with a couple of small issues solved very quickly. The park has good facilities including a play park with amazing views, and even offering horse trekking nearby. Would recommend and stay again!

We stayed as a family for a weekend just to have a few days to relax which was very much needed in the current pandemic. I was a little worried about staying because of the current situation but as soon as we walked in each one of us loved it and said how lovely, clean and comfortable it was. The only thing my partner said he could smell dog on the couch (hes a little allergic) but it didnt cause to much trouble to be honest and I couldnt smell anything. It is a dog free lodge (Which was something on the top of my list to have - we dont own a dog or any pets) but from my understanding the owners allow their dog there if they stay which Didnt really bother me. There were 3 lodges we couldnt choose between when booking and this in the end we choose. Parking is right next to the lodge which is on a hill. Plenty of cups/glasses/plates and bowls to go round aswel. We were a little let down with the views if Im honest, they are lovely especially when the sun is on the hill in the morning but I was expecting a little further reaching. The lodge is higher up than others which I liked and I did enjoy having a cup of tea looking out. The play ground on site was a hit with my children and we went everyday. If you turn right out of the site, you will be hit with such wonderful views! We drove to Ullswater that way and it was amazing especially in the sun. We did a couple of drives on roads which were breathtaking. 100% have a search on what roads to enjoy a drive on! Overall, it was a pleasant, relaxing stay!!

The lodge was very clean which is exactly what you want to see in a pandemic plenty of things for cleaning up after ourselves too which was a bonus. Huge balcony overlooking the whole site with beautiful views it was very peaceful to sit outside watching the sunrise or set. We had a dryer for the days when the rain came and soaked us through every layer. Beds were really comfortable and spacious. Close to everything on site the reception/shop is just at the bottom of the hill, the pub directly behind the lodge, and the park just at little further on than shop. We had 2 disabled people with us (of limited mobility) and with 2 access points to the lodge with only 4 steps that was great for us. With 6 people staying together it can sometimes be annoying falling over each other but there is no danger of that here its such a spacious lodge and with TV in each room that meant the children could go watch something while the adults watched something else.
