Nice lodge in a nice area, worth the money
Took my mum here for her 60th and she loved it, the lodge was very tidy and you could tell all expenses were made to make it as nice as possible. Having the hot tub was great too if you just wanted to chill out after walking all day. The area was great, 5-10 minutes away from Windermere. I loved having a very spacious and secure decking area as i had 2 dogs. I ended up with a flat tyre on the day we were leaving but a member of the maintenance staff was quick to help.
The only negative comments I could leave is there was a few hairs on the bed under the quilt which I assume were dog hairs. It was noticeable due to having dark sheets, the mattress was not the best but ok. We had a meal at the on site pub which was very nice but spoilt by screaming kids. I wouldn't mind as children can be loud but they were purposely screaming which was encouraged by their parents throughout the whole time we were there. I felt a member of staff should have asked the parents to keep the noise of their children down, obviously children need entertaining and you expect some noise but if my dogs were making all that noise I'm sure someone would make a complaint. Well behaved dogs are welcome, the same should apply for children. It is a family complex but people without children or with well behaved/controlled children shouldn't have to listen to badly behaved children when trying to enjoy a meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was supplied. Our only down side was cream carpets in a dog friendly lodge did not work. There was also rotting floor under the log I'd recommend to everyone who does not have a dog especially if it rains xx

Another great stay
This was my second time at Limefitt and once again had a fabulous stay. The lodge is fab, especially loved the hot tub and the fact that the rooms were at either end of the lodge, both with a bathroom which for two friends, was ideal, felt like we had our
Own little space each. Only the bed in the main bedroom was made up when we arrived though, which whilst there was only two of us, we didnt want to share a double bed! The sheets were in a drawer though so we just made the other room up ourselves. The WiFi was not great, could have done with a separate booster in the lodge? Everything else was great though, the kitchen had everything we needed and the lodge was spotless. The decking was lovely too, great views and big enough for the dogs to play on. The latch on the gate needs some attention though as it didnt close on pulling the gate shut. Limefitt is still one of my favourite places to stay, its so peaceful and not too far from the main towns and some great walks. The dog park is so handy too, enabling the dogs to have a good run around. Again I think it needs a bit of attention though, as whilst there is fencing around it, it is falling down a bit in places. Will definitely be back - hopefully sometime soon.

We went as 2 19-21 year old couples. Got EVERYTHING you could want, from kids cutlery to dog bowls. Amazingly clean (smelt lovely) and well maintained. Hot tub is amazing and nice and clean. Even got some cracking DVDs if youre up for a night in. Pub on site is no more than a minutes walk and is lovely and welcoming, and fair priced too. Have recommended to friends, and we hope to be coming again soon!
